Locally educated in the field of architecture and urban planning. Interested in arts and design. Joined the Supreme Commission for Tourism (SCT) as an architect in the Culture and Heritage Program in 2004. Later promoted to a senior architect in the Antiquities and Museums Sector in the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) in 2008. Appointed by the President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) to head the World Heritage Unit in the Antiquities Sector in 2015. A specialist in the field of UNESCO Conventions. Served as the Saudi focal point for several UNESCO Conventions. Named an Advisor to the World Heritage Unit until the transfer of the National Heritage Sector to the Ministry of Culture in 2020. In 2021, he moved to the Diriyah Gate Development Authority as a Compliance and WH Liaison and Associate Director in the Heritage and Culture Division of the Diriyah Foundation. Enjoys good network connections within UNESCO and ICOMOS, also supporting member to the Saudi National Committee for Education Science and Culture (NatCom). Well-versed in operating in complex, dynamic environments under tight deadlines. Good problem-solver and planner with deep understanding of UNESCO World Heritage.
